Difference between ATM478 and ATM678
I try to balance the interests of undergraduate and graduate students. Therefore, I will assign special tasks for undergraduates that probe the material assigned at the undergraduate level. This means there are distinct differences in the assignments of ATM478 and ATM678 in accord with the different goals of the learning outcomes. This means among other things that over the time of the class, undergraduate students 1) will have less reading and/or video watching assignments than the graduate students, 2) will be assigned less problems, 3) will be assigned problems of less difficulty, 4) will be required to answer different and/or less questions in the questionnaire, and/or 5) will have quizzes and exams in agreement with the state learning outcome at the undergraduate level. In other words, tasks, quizzes, questions, and exams designed for graduate students will require skills that are beyond the learning outcomes at the undergraduate level. Thus, make always sure you solve the tasks assigned to your class level to avoid frustrations and to be best prepared for the quizzes and exams.
